Election Day 2020 is less than one month away! Do you do a mock election with your class? If so, I have a resource you are going to love!
When teaching about the election process and doing a mock election in class, it’s important to create an experience as close to the real thing as possible.

Ballots, Results & Badges
My mock election resource includes individual ballots with the name of each candidate. You can have them fill out their ballot privately in the back of the room and simply place it in a cardboard box when they are finished. After votes are counted, results can be reported on the included “RESULTS” page. Voters can be given a special “I voted” badge as a reminder of their participation in the process.

Reading
There are many books that can be used to help teach this voting process, and I’m going to share a few that may be of interest to you.

The Night Before Election Day which can be purchased here.

The Little Book of Presidential Elections which can be purchased here.

I VOTED: Making a Choice Makes a Difference which can be purchased here.
Writing
For older children, they can use the included writing paper, with or without the included page toppers, for a writing assignment.

I hope you and your students have fun learning about the election process in the United States. You can find all of the materials (ballots, badges, writing paper) by clicking HERE.

Stay well and know you are very much appreciated!
