Thankful Turkey Bulletin Board

As I start the month of November, I can’t help but think of the many things I am thankful for this year. It has been a crazy one for sure, but there is always something to be thankful for.

A new month also means a new bulletin board. Yep, it’s that time. During these crazy times, I know that may be the last thing on your mind, so I’ve made an easy peasy writing prompt that you can use to make a bulletin board for November. (Download link at the end of post.)

I’ve created a turkey feather with the writing prompt “__________ is thankful for…” After discussing the meaning of “thankful”, each child would get their own feather and complete the writing prompt. If you have younger students that cannot write on their own, you can still use the prompt, but have them dictate their message to you and you can write it.

When they are finished writing, they can color the outside of the feather and cut it out. For my bulletin board, I’ve used this cute turkey that I found on Amazon. It came with the entire turkey body as well as different colored feathers. You can check it out here.

I changed the eyes on mine to make it a little cuter!

This is a SUPER easy bulletin board that reflects the theme of Thanksgiving for the month of November. It can be done with different age groups to promote “thankfulness” for your class. If you use it on a board outside of your classroom, that “thankfulness” theme may even resonate to others!

If you are like me and want to know where you can purchase things that I see in pictures (just to make life easier), here you go! Just click in the highlighted links!
